Kid's bathroom art decoration

I have been so excited the last couple of days to show you this.  As a congratulations for our new home our amazing realtor gave us a gift card to Bed, Bath and Beyond.  So we got some new bath towels and a fun shower curtain for the kids bathroom.

Super cute!
I wanted to add some wall decor to the bathroom to give it a fun touch.  So I painted a duck to match one of the ducks from the shower curtain.  I went to Walmart to find a frame for my cute little duck, but decided to wait on buying one. When I got home I had a brillant idea...a puzzle frame!  The pieces from the puzzle I got a Desert Industries a while back (for $1) would be perfect for this project!

During nap time I made a wide puzzle piece picture frame.  Go here to see my tutorial on how to make a puzzle piece picture frame.
I am so excited on how it turned out!  I can't wait to add more decorations to the bathroom.

Tell me what you think, I love hearing from my readers.

Some other ways you can save money for you bathroom is buying a shower curtain at the Dollar Store.

One day I decided to put on a puppet show for my son using his stuffed animals.  It didn't go as I planned.  Maybe in a few more months he will be old enough to enjoy it.

I set out his Pooh and Tigger chairs for him, "Bear" and "Dog" to enjoy the show.  I squatted behind the couch with his bucket of animals.

Indoor sensory time

One morning we woke up to snow.  Instead of getting all bundled up to go out and play in it I brought the snow inside!

We added spoons, cookie cutters, ladles and even a Pam cooking spray lid to two bowls of snow.  My son had so much fun playing with the snow.  It entertained us for about 1/2 an hour!
Now that we are in our new house I want to build a sensory table.  So hopefully in the future we wont have to sit on the floor.

Rainbow pancakes

Last St. Patrick's Day treat...

I also made mini rainbow pancakes to add to our fruit rainbow.

Super easy...add food coloring to your favorite pancake recipe and poor a small amount of batter onto your pan.
Our St. Patrick's was a great day that we spent together as a family with some super fun and colorful treats.  What do you do?

Fruit rainbow

Continuing on with our St. Patrick's Day treats...

For breakfast we had a fruit rainbow!  It was so yummy.  We had whipping cream to dip our fruits into as well.

Here are some ideas for your own fruit rainbow:
RED: strawberries, raspberries, cherries, watermelon chucks. grapefruit
ORANGE: orange slices, tangerines, clementines, cantalopes mangos, peaches
YELLOW: pinapples, lemons, bananas
GREEN: kiwi, green grapes, honeydews, limes
BLUE: blueberries, blackberries, dark grapes
PURPLE: grapes

WHITE CLOUDS: whipping cream, marshmellows, fruit dip
POT OF GOLD: chocolate gold coins, rolos, oatmeal
Feel free to comment if you have any fruits to add or ways to make our rainbows even better for next year.

Rainbow jello

I have missed you all and posting on Doodles and Doilies.  We have been so busy lately.  We moved into our new house!  We absolutely love it and I look forward to posting many fun projects we do.  So far nothing to exciting.  We've replaced the door stoppers because we had none, we bought carbon monoxide detectors and installed those, etc.  And the good news is we are almost done unpacking!

I know this post is so very late, but I made this jello for my family and for you so I will share some of our fun St. Patrick's Day treats.

RAINBOW JELLO!
It is super easy to make it just takes all day.

You will need:
6 small packages of jello (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple)
1 large tub of Cool Whip

Start with the purple jello.  Make the fast set way.  Set aside 1/3 of the jello mixture.  If you are using the small packages of jello it will be 2/3 cup.  Put the remaining 2/3 into your serving dish.  Chill in fridge for 15-30 minutes.  It depends on who big/small your serving dish is.  Meanwhile mix the leftover 1/3 with a 2/3 cup of Cool Whip.  Add the jello Cool Whip mixture to the chilled jello by carefully layering it on with a spoon.  Chill for 15 minutes.  Then you will do the blue jello and repeat the steps; continually adding layers.

When the jello is completely done add cool whip on top.  If you want sprinkle on some green, gold or rainbow sprinkles.  Try adding a chocolate gold coin.

It is super YUMMY!  My family loved it and I hope you have time to try it out yourself next St. Patrick's day or for a birthday party or bbq.
